Really sturdy & compact for traveling.Leg came apart after second weekI want to write this review for not only the product, but the wonderful customer service that I received from GEX so that anyone questioning whether or not this Amazon seller stands by their product and warranty can be well informed!I purchased my original tripod from GEX via Amazon in January (2019), but did not get around to unboxing and using it until this past month (August 2019) .....don’t judge me I order A LOT & get full use of my prime membership ??. In any case, upon first use the tripod neck snapped off. Obviously I was shocked and upset bc I knew it was outside of the return timeframe for Amazon. I tried to pry the broken piece off, I toyed with the idea of super glue, but ultimately I ended up chalking up to a loss and resigned myself to purchasing a new one in the pink color (this one) when I returned from vacay....which I did and I love!However, upon purchase I received the email reminding me of the 1 year warranty & decided to contact the company regarding the broken one that had given up on.I sent a text to the warranty contact number and received a timely response. I was greeted with empathy and concern for my problem with the product. After an attempt to help me trouble shoot the issue to no avail the customer service person happily made good on my warranty and shipped me a replacement tripod without a problem & free of charge which arrived in the same 2 day timeframe as my prime delivery.Customer service is a dying art and I’m grateful anytime I receive stellar customer service and when a company stands by their product without making the customer jump through hoops for a replacement.I now have my replacement and this new pink unit and I love them both & will happily be buying another soon!! The tripods themselves are sturdy, easy to assemble and use, and made of quality parts.....not that lightweight hollow/bendable aluminum. Fold down small to travel with and include a carry bag + extra/replacement knob, instructions & warranty card.Hope this review was helpful. Sorry so long!It’s sturdy and height options are great.Lightweight and easy to assembleWorked well for a little under a year. I also purchased the same brand block head to go with it. Note, the hole in the block head is larger than the part that fits it on the tripod so it’s constantly flopping around and makes it difficult to style on. Company recommended padding the whole with something, which I tried, but this was not an ideal fix as the ball joint is also not sturdy enough for regular styling. Either the way the block head is constantly moving back and forth on this tripod. The legs of the tripod no longer stay locked. Doesn’t matter where you clip the locks at the bottom. For $100+ I was expecting something to last longer and hold up to regular wig styling. I would not recommend this tripod unless it’s short term or very occasional use, like just drying wigs.Ok I read a lot of reviews and I was like why not buy it since I bout a cheap one already I don’t really like I’m only using to bleach and dye hair on. But this baby from the moment I got it I’m like it’s sturdy that’s for sure because of it’s weight. Yes it sturdy very sturdy at that. The colour is wonderful I love the thickness oh my I fell in love with it... stop buying the cheap ones and get you one of these I’ll be buying again for sure.I use this stand fr my heads in hair school. Was skeptical at first, but they are great, really sturdy and work way better than table side mounts!
