I bought two of theses one to raise the level up, and another to bring the shower head farther to the middle of the shower. With white tape, they leak quite a bit I have no idea how to seal them. Luckily the way I have it installed the leak will drip off without entering the collar that goes into the wall so still acceptable to me but I would prefer it doesn't leak.Works as it shouldPerfect shower arm for what I needed. But you need to know the end is almost 90° the water will come straight down from your shower head. You will either be under the water or out of the water.
